Vartov checks your Shopify product catalog in the background on a fixed schedule, whether or not you're looking at the app. Open it and you get a clear, one-line answer: everything's fine, the last check had a problem, or monitoring itself has stopped.

What it does

• Shows your active product catalog — Shopify's own status:active filter, not a broader claim about what's actually eligible to sync on every sales channel.
• Runs an automatic background check on a fixed schedule, independent of whether you're looking at the app, so the status you see is always current, not stale from whenever you last happened to check.
• Gives you a clear, immediate status: everything's fine, the last check had a problem, or monitoring itself has stopped — never a screen that quietly pretends nothing is wrong.
• If you connect a Google Merchant Center account, Vartov also records Google's own approval status for your catalog roughly once an hour, alongside the Shopify side.
